"Getting to Know Me"...Traci Wood is a 31 year old, once upon a time, social worker who currently has the overwhelming yet gratifying career of being a stay at home mother to two beautiful children. They are Sydney(6) and Kelan(3). I have never ending passions of eating and cooking, showering and sleeping, playing and cleaning up(which I actually enjoy this one-makes me feel like I have some control over my crazy life), and reading and crafting...to name a few. I currently live in Victoria Texas which is Southeastern Texas (in the Gulf) and met the wonderful Lindsay in Virginia where both our husbands were in Dental School together. Miss you Lindsay! Miss Virginia too!!! :(
ReplyDeleteLindsay...aren't you supposed to tell us a few fun facts too? So bet the name got you thinking I love bananas? Yep, I love bananas! I have 5 cute kiddos. 3 girls and 2 boys. I love the outdoors. I can't wait for warm playing weather :). My favorite movie? I Pride and Predjudice and Emma. Favorite color?Purple and Green. Favorite treat? Fresh strawberry pie sounds yummy right now. Favorite thing to collect? Jewelry, purses, and thimbles from fun places I go. Least favorite chore? Scrubbing the shower. Often wish I could do more of? Layout at the beach and read a book, spend more time playing with Lance (my hubby), whip up some kind of craft (scrapbooking, quilting, etc.). My favorite phrase? "Mommy I Love you.". My favorite band? U2! My favorite flower? Sunflower or lavendar roses. Well now you know a little more about me. What about you?

ReplyDeleteJaclyn is a 29 year old with no children, and unfortunately in the middle of getting a divorce. But I am happy being single right now, and love having lots of time to myself to read!! I am a medical laboratory scientist at ARUP in SLC, UT (recently returned from working for the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN) and I love my job. I know Lindsay from high school (a little) and from being in the same ward after high school (a little). I haven't seen you for a couple years probably, Lindsay, so you better update us on you as well!
Other Random Facts: Dislike large houses, love eating from my garden, preparing to join a food co-op, love being able to clean my ENTIRE apartment in 2 hours, would love to go to medical school but I'm too afraid, am DYING to have kids, could easily spend HOURS in the salt lake public library, cannot go to a bookstore without buying at least one book, and I love ice cream :)

ReplyDeleteI am 28 (for a little bit longer at least!) In my previous life I graduated from the U of U with a BS in Early Childhood Special Education and taught for a few years before I had my own kiddos. I have two little boys- Tate is 5 and Max is 2 1/2. We have our adoption papers in, and are hoping that munchkin number three will arrive soon! I love gardening, photography, quilting, music and reading. In my "future" life I hope to attend school to be a Music Therapist. I had the awesome opportunity of living in Richmond, VA for 4 years while my husband, Chad, attended dental school. I am so lucky to have made great friends there, and then to come home and make great friends here!
Jaclyn, you should totally go to medical school! You would be an awesome M.D.--what do you want to specialize in??
